Comic

The comics are what i usually judge other medias after so it sets the standard for me. I love the aesthetics of it. the earlier books are ruffer in the art style but it flourishes from books 3-6 I love the shapes and how the buildings are drawn. I like that they made Stephen fat. I love the colors. The story is more enjoyable for me, its over a longer period of time (the book is over about a year and the movie+show are over a couple months) so it explores the characters and how they grow and change, letting them be their own people and exist in the world. I think if you like either the books or the show you should read the books they are at yr local library or at the internet archive.

Movie

I will discuss the movie deeper in specific character pages but overall it's fun! It follows the comics pretty well but drops details because production started before every book was released and the comics have a lot of content. I ADORE the colors and general style, it really gives the “video game in real life” theme justice!! it also keeps the winter glow from the first few books color versions which is wonderful. The movie is the first media people see (its the first one i saw) usually and I think thats alright, you can read the comics after and still enjoy it fully.
